ZowieWowie is currently accepting non-fiction submissions.  Unfortunately, we are non-paying publication.  If we like your piece, you may be selected to become part of the ZowieWowie staff. Occasionally, we send assignments out to our staff.  These assignments range from Feature stories, site review, and opinion articles. We allow our writers to become part of the editing and development process through the use of our article management system. This system allows the authors to upload and place their pictures within their stories with ease. You don’t have to be a programmer or know HTML to take part in the layout of story. Once you cut and past your article into our system, upload and place your pictures, we do the final editing and proofing – upon approval of the editorial staff you story will go live.

Q: How do I submit and Article to ZowieWowie?

A: If you are brand new to ZowieWowie, you will need to first submit your story via Microsoft Word. If you don’t have Microsoft Word, you need to cut and past your story in email (send it directly to us and not as a forward email). Send the email to submissions@zowiewowie.com. Upon editorial acceptance, we will publish you article on our site in the appropriate department. If we like your material enough, we give you a login to our state of the art Article Manager and invite you to submit more material to us and take on assignments. It’s a wonderful career builder.

Article Manager

Q: If I you accept my article, who owns the rights? Also, Can I put this site on my resume? If so, will my article always be found at the link where it is read?

A: Yes. We want First North American Rights to your article. This does not mean you can't submit to other non-paying sites, and this does not mean that you can't submit a story that has already been published to ZowieWowie. We want exclusive and original material, but we understand some writers out there are starving. However, if you find a paying publication that wants to reprint your article, please let us know. And don’t forget us! Yes, ZowieWowie is a great resume builder and we make great references if the relationship with the author is agreeable (e.g. if you come on board and continue to voluntarily write for us as a staff member.)

For stories in our departments, we ask that you read existing stories in our departments for tone and style.

The editors can use footnotes.  If you intend to incorporate footnotes in your work please ask us before using them, explaining in what context you will be using them.

We require that references be cited the proper way at the end of each article.

All writers are required to follow Chicago AP style.

While we are very new to this, we do entertain the idea of internships. The internship will have to be remote, of course, and the instructor must set up the requirements for our evaluation and develop a way to track your work based on what you do (not, how long it took you to do it) and convert this into credit hours. We will need to arrange this personally with your instructor via email. Have the instructor of your university or college write to us at admin@zowiewowie.com.

Duties would include the following some or all of the following based on your skills and/or major:

· Writing factual magazine articles on websites, individuals, or topics.
